A recent study by Payscale.com analyzed the earnings of alumni at colleges across the USA. It revealed the fluctuation in salaries over several several years. Payscale used its extensive database of 13 million unique compensation profiles to create the list.

National Retail Federation have released a report revealing a 10% increase (from $599 to $642) in college necessities (textbooks and supplies). The college-bound students are feeling the economic squeeze and many analysts expect spending on clothing, furnishings and electronics to suffer.
