College Education of the top Political Pundits
June 11, 2008 – 1:11 am by Nick
When the drawn out Democratic primaries became a cash cow for news outlets, we became interested in the educational pedigree of the countries top political pundits. We used the Telegraph’s list as a starting point. The most shocking discovery is that some of the most influential conservative/Republican minds are college drop outs: Karl Rove, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Matt Drudge, and Glen Beck.
Plenty of Ivy league degrees scattered all over the list. Bill O’Reilly counts a couple of degree, including a master’s degree from Harvard. Equally impressive, Keith Olbermann entered Cornell at the age of 16.
1) KARL ROVERove studied political science at University of Utah but, ironically, dropped out to accept a paid position as the Executive Director of the College Republican National Committee. “Bush’s Brain” never actually graduated. |
2) CHRIS MATTHEWSThe Hardball host graduated College of the Holy Cross and completed his graduate studies in economics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He served in the Peace Corps in Swaziland. Matthews has been in the center of the primary season with his fervent support for Barack Obama. |
3) SEAN HANNITYAn “indifferent student, Hannity dropped out of New York University. He pursued his true love radio. The fast-talking pundit now helms a hit Fox News show and national radio program. |
