Simmons College was founded in 1899 as a College designed to educate women for fulfilling careers and useful, independent lives. Today, the College continues its tradition of excellence through a focus on liberal arts and sciences and professional education in its undergraduate programs for women, and its gradute professional and liberal arts programs for women and men.
